Current Torquay United manager and former Cheltenham Town boss Gary Johnson is among the favourites to take the vacant managerial position at Plymouth Arygle.
Johnson took over at Torquay in September 2018, and achieved promotion to the National League as champions of the National League South.
Ian Holloway is the current market favourite with Sky Bet, then Johnson is second in the running, with Neil Warnock and Darrell Clarke also listed.
Johnson was sacked by Cheltenham in August 2018 after losing his first three league games without seeing his side score a goal.
Derek Adams was sacked by Plymouth yesterday after losing 5-1 to Accrington Stanley on Saturday, their fifth defeat in a row, a run which has seen them concede 15.
Adams gained promotion from League Two with Plymouth in 2017, and finished 7th in League One last season, but he leaves with the side currently in 21st with one game to play.
