Gloucester Rugby made it another memorable night under the lights at Kingsholm as they beat reigning champions Saracens 23-17.
The Cherry and Whites were 9-3 down at half-time but produced a stunning comeback to beat second placed Saracens. The result sees them sit fifth in the table having won three games in a row, a feat they didn’t manage throughout the whole of last season.
It is the second time this season Gloucester have won at home on a Friday night after they beat league leaders Exeter on the opening day of the campaign.
As for Hartpury RFC, they narrowly lost 15-18 at home to Richmond in the English Green King IPA Championship.
Five penalties from fly-half James Williams couldn’t prevent the college side from losing for the second weekend in a row. The result sees them sit 9th in what is their first-ever season in English rugby’s second tier.
Cinderford made it 10 wins from 11 as they comfortably beat Barnstaple 32-19 in the English National League Division Two South. It was their 10th bonus point win in what has been a remarkable season so far for the Gloucestershire based side. Their next game sees them head to Wimbledon on Saturday.
