Match Report Six Nations: Ireland 28 Scotland 8

Ireland have lumped the pressure on England ahead of their match with France by securing a bonus-point win against Scotland in Dublin.

A first-half brace from Jacob Stockdale sent Ireland on their way to victory. However, it was not as comfortable as the scoreline may suggest. Scotland squandered many opportunities to cross the whitewash themselves with some less then clinical last phase passes.

A debut try from Blair Kinghorn gave the Scott’s a glimmer of hope early in the second half but it was soon quashed as Ireland went in hunt of the bonus point score.

If England get anything less than a four try victory in Paris this evening, the Six Nations will be headed to Dublin with a week to spare. If England can secure a bonus point victory in Paris, then it will be a winner takes all clash at Twickenham next week, with Ireland going in search of only the third Grand Slam in their history.

Man of the Match Connor Murray caught up with ITV Rugby shortly after full time.
