For just the second time this season, both Gloucestershire-based sides got wins on the same weekend, with Cheltenham Town and Forest Green Rovers both grabbing dramatic victories on Saturday.

Conor Thomas’ late penalty saw the Robins beat Grimby Town 2-1 to move above Cambridge United into 21st. Here’s what the fans thought…

Twitter user @simonebdon1 even posted this video from the stands after the game…

Meanwhile, Forest Green Rovers beat Yeovil Town 2-1 with two stoppage time goals despite being a man down. Paul Digby was sent off in the second half while they were 1-0 down, but Reuben Reid and George Williams struck in the 92nd and 94th minutes respectively to nick the three points.

Their fans were understandably ecstatic…

With the busy Christmas period approaching, both teams will want to continue to build momentum next weekend.

Cheltenham Town travel to 15th-placed Port Vale on Saturday, while Forest Green Rovers are at home against top seven rivals Mansfield Town.
