Its a big milestone in Gloucester today! On this day 125 years ago, Gloucester Rugby played their first game at their now iconic stadium. On October 10th 1891, Gloucester welcomed Burton RFC to the West Country. Playing in their lesser known colours of Red, Black and Yellow, the not so Cherry and Whites as they were then came away from the game victorious.
Using the old scoring system, Gloucester won by 2 goals, 4 tries and several minors (18 points) to Burton RFC’s 2 minors.
