RUGBY: Gloucester out of the Premiership Rugby Cup

They haven't played yet because of the snow, but Gloucester can no longer qualify for the semi finals of the Premiership Rugby Cup

Gloucester Rugby can no longer qualify for the Premiership Rugby Cup semi finals despite not having played their game against Bath yet.

The match between Gloucester and Bath has already been postponed twice, but is now to go ahead tonight at the Rec.

At the start of the weekend, Gloucester still had a narrow chance of qualifying, however, this is no longer the case because of other results from the weekend.

Saracens took the fourth qualifying spot coming second in pool two with a better points difference.

Even if Gloucester attain a bonus point victory tonight, they won’t have enough points to over take Saracens.

Team news:

Gloucester will field a team that boasts 24 academy players. The only one not to be from the academy is Matt Banahan.

Bath will have Jonathon Joseph in their team after not being picked for England’s first Six Nations game against Ireland on Saturday.
